ChatGPT has become part of how professionals work. Most people have developed real habits, real workflows, and real skill along the way.
What has been missing is a way to see that skill clearly. There has been no shared scale, no evidence standard, and no meaningful answer to a simple question: how good am I at this, and what should I work on next?
That is the question AIQ ChatGPT was built to answer.
Every existing assesment measures what you know about AI. AIQ ChatGPT is the first assessment built on what you actually do with it: real tasks, completed inside your own ChatGPT account, judged on the evidence.
One exercise per level. Each exercise unlocks the next. Select a level to see what it takes.
You can take something genuinely complex and use ChatGPT to reach real understanding.
You control the output. The work that comes back is the work you asked for.
ChatGPT becomes a working environment. This is the threshold for dependable professional use.
You are creating capability for other people, not just output for yourself.
AI as working infrastructure, with the judgement to know where it belongs.
A real task with real source material. Nothing artificial, nothing industry-specific. Exercise 1 takes thirty to forty-five minutes.
Your account, your normal way of working. You submit two things: what you produced, and a link to the conversation that produced it.
Your confirmed level, scores across Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, and a development brief for the next level. Within minutes.

CFTE works with banks, sovereign wealth funds, regulators and governments to build AI capability at scale. AIQ ChatGPT comes from that body of work: the AI Literacy White Paper, the CFTE AI Proficiency Framework, and diagnostics used by institutions worldwide.
The first invitations are already out, and early participants have started sharing their results publicly.

AIQ ChatGPT is currently in its first pilot. Access is not on general release: invitations are shared personally by the CFTE team and through a small number of partner organisations.
Places are complimentary and set up individually, and pilot participants receive early access to future AIQ assessments, for Copilot, Claude and Gemini, as they release.
Associations, universities and employers can extend invitations to their members, students or teams, and receive a picture of capability that almost nobody currently has.
On data. What you receive is fully anonymised and aggregated. We do not share names, individual results or personal data with you or with anyone else. You see the shape of your population's capability, never a person.
Or book a 15-minute call if that is easier.
Access to the first pilot is by invitation. Invitations are shared personally by the CFTE team and through a small number of partner organisations. If you have received an invitation code, it is already applied to this page. If not, you can request to be considered using the form above.
A ChatGPT account and about thirty to forty-five minutes for the first exercise. Levels 3 to 5 draw on capabilities available on a paid ChatGPT plan, such as Projects and custom GPTs. On the free tier you can complete Levels 1 and 2 and still receive a report and badges for those.
Exercise 1 takes thirty to forty-five minutes. The full pathway of five exercises takes four to five hours, spread across a 30-day window at your own pace. You can stop at any point and keep the level you have earned.
No. There are no multiple-choice questions. Each exercise is a piece of real work completed inside your own ChatGPT account. You submit both the output and the conversation that produced it, and the assessment reads how you worked, not what you can recall.
The output shows what you produced. The conversation shows how you got there, which is what distinguishes someone who got a good result from someone who knew exactly what they were doing. It is the most objective evidence the assessment has.
Each exercise is a single submission. Your result reflects the work you submit, which is what makes the certification meaningful. The development brief in your report shows you exactly what to strengthen before attempting the next level.
You do. Your level, your scores and your report are yours to share or not. Anything published about the cohort is aggregated and anonymised. We never share names or individual results with anyone, including the organisation that invited you.
Nothing during the first pilot. Access is complimentary for invited participants. At public launch the assessment will be a paid product, and pilot participants receive early access to future AIQ assessments as they release.
The first pilot is open now. A confirmed level, a shareable badge, and a clear view of what to develop next.
