Dr. Ayesha Khanna is the Co-Founder and CEO of ADDO AI, an artificial intelligence (AI) advisory firm and incubator ranked by Forbes magazine as one of Asia’s leading AI companies.
She is also the founder of 21C GIRLS, a charity that delivers free coding and artificial intelligence classes to girls in Singapore, and has been named as one of South East Asia’s groundbreaking female entrepreneurs in 2018.

As a Harvard (BA, Economics), Columbia (MS, Operations Research), and LSE (PhD, Information Systems and Innovation) educated professional with multiple academic publications, Dr. Khanna is a globally recognized authority on technology and innovation. She is the author of Straight Through Processing (2008) and co-author of Hybrid Reality: Thriving in the Emerging Human-Technology Civilization (2012) and has been featured in major media outlets including The New York Times, TIME, Harvard Business Review, and Foreign Policy.
Furthermore, Dr. Khanna holds a breadth of professional experience on Wall Street, where she developed large scale trading, risk management, and data analytics systems, as well as at multiple new venture support organizations. Through her tenures as the co-founder of the Hybrid Reality Institute, a research and advisory group established to analyze the social and economic impact of accelerating technologies, and CEO of The Keys Global, an innovative education hub, Dr. Khanna has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, and the accessibility of new technologies.

CFTE and Ngee Ann Polytechnic of Singapore are pleased to have Dr. Khanna continuing to lead AI development by participating as a senior lecturer in the forthcoming online course, AI in Finance. Following its release on June 24, 2018, Dr. Ayesha’s deep knowledge of AI, its applications in finance, and those involved in building and using its technologies will be provided to course learners interested in discovering more about AI’s effects on the financial industry.

By joining the course, Dr. Khanna is motivated to address the particular issue of AI literacy and awareness in financial services. She claims, “I think people don’t understand how to use AI, and they don’t understand how to apply it to their businesses” before continuing with, “I think that it is essential that people take the course, as there is no doubt that AI will disrupt the financial service industry”.
As the lead lecturer of Chapter 1, Dr. Khanna will specifically provide a comprehensive definition of AI, address why it is serving to disrupt finance today, and discuss details regarding organizations seeking to implement it. This will be followed by an overview of current AI trends, including automation, forecasting, and optimisation, as well as specific examples of instances in which they have been applied. In her final module, Dr. Khanna describes the actors involved with AI in the financial industry, such as start-ups, investors, large financial institutions, technology companies, and regulators.
