Andrei Kirilenko, the Director of the Centre for Global Finance and Technology at Imperial College London, has an unparalleled understanding of how technology is impacting finance from his extensive experience as a scholar and regulator. Prior to Imperial College, he was Professor of the Practice of Finance at MIT Sloan and Co-Director of the MIT Centre for Finance and Policy. Before this, he served as chief economist at the U.S Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) where he was awarded the Chairman’s Award for Excellence (highest honour). He is globally recognised for his scholarly work on finance, technology and regulation. He is also renown for his educational and public outreach efforts to disseminate scholarly knowledge to the broader public.
